There is an extra layer of built in spandex on these shorts. Its more of a cloth material and very comfortable.

Great short. Great material and color.
Only thing that had me slightly bummed was the garment logo was beginning to peel at the base of the "F" on my second time wearing them within a week.

My spouse loves the feel and fit of these shorts. However, just overpriced. Shipping too, is overpriced for one pair of shorts. I wouldn't have bought if it wasn't on the Christmas List. I don't plan on buying more.
